Philadelphia Eagles rookie WR DeVonta Smith set to miss 2-3 weeks with sprained MCL, sources say

PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles rookie wide receiver DeVontaSmith is likely to miss up to three weeks due to a sprained MCL. Sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter Monday.Smith had an MRI performed on Sunday to reveal the knee injury.Smith is still listed as week-to-week on the Eagles' injury report. The Eagles don't seem to be concerned about Smith's absence from practice, but they do not think Smith should be.Smith was trying to catch a low pass from Jalen Hurts during practice on Saturday night when he fell to the ground. Smith was able to walk with a slight limp, having been helped from the ground by teammates. He was also an observer during the remainder of practice.Smith, who is the reigning Heisman trophy winner from Alabama, was selected by the Eagles as the 10th overall pick in April's draft. Smith is expected to be their leading receiver.Jalen Reagor is the projected No. Camp has been slow for Jalen Reagor, the projected No. 2 wideout. He failed the team's conditioning tests and was restricted at camp due to a lower body strain. Reagor, who has also been dealing with the death of a close friend in his family, was able to return to team drills on Saturday.Travis Fulgham, Greg Ward and Reagor are top candidates to fill in for Smith's absence.
