Plarium buys Finland's mobile studio Futureplay to expand into casual games

You can watch the video now.Plarium is home to 390 million PC and mobile gamers, and it's expanding its reach into casual gaming with an agreement for Finland's Futureplay.The price was not disclosed. Futureplay, a Helsinki-based company, has created games like Merge Gardens and Battlelands Royale. Futureplay has six games, which have been enjoyed by more than 140 million people. Its social media channels and community channels boast 2.1 million subscribers. Merge Gardens is a simulation merge game, which is a rapidly growing category. Plarium developers are increasingly integrating casual elements into mid-core games. Plarium shares the same vision, which is to maintain a creative environment that allows for business growth without compromising the passion for creating games.Plarium offers more than 20 PC and mobile games, including Raid: Shadow Legends and Vikings: War of Clans. Plarium was purchased by Aristocraft Digital in 2017 for $500million. Aristocraft Digital employs 2,300 people and also owns Product Madness, Big Fish Games, and Big Fish Games.Futureplay employs 38 people.
