Tickets for the movie companion to Kanye West's upcoming album Jesus Is King have officially gone on sale. You can find listings near you on the promotional IMAX website.
Two days ago, there were only select tickets available in a handful of cities. Now screenings have expanded nationwide.
IMAX first released the promotional site back on Oct. 11, claiming the film would show between Oct. 24-31. No further details were provided at the time.
The Jesus is King film has only been seen by the few thousand lucky fans that attended West's listening parties for the new album (which is still being edited). Those shows took place in Detroit, Chicago and New York between Sept. 27-29.
As I write following my experience at one of those shows, the film is clearly inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey, mixing Stanley Kubrick's cinematic approach with documentary footage of West's Sunday Service choir. The movie fits nicely into West's lifelong obsession with movies.
