The airline is more concerned with building Dubai as a global hub rather than being a financially independent airline. This offer is fantastic in that it not only encourages people travel with Emirates but also encourages them to spend time (aka money), there.This offer has one catchThis offer has one catch. One Skywards Mile per Minute is a very generous mileage earning rate. If you are just moving there to attend Expo 2020, that's 1,440 miles per calendar day, 10,080 mile per week, or 262,800 mileage in six months.There is one catch: Skywards members are limited to earning 5,000 bonus mileage with this promotion. This would be earned after 83 hours or 3.5 days in Dubai. This promotion is a great incentive to stay longer than 24 hours in Dubai but it doesn't encourage incremental spending.Bottom lineEmirates Skywards offers a creative promotion to visit Dubai during Expo 2020. For every hour you spend in Dubai, you can earn one bonus Skywards Mile. You must stay at least 24 hours and earn a maximum of 5,000 bonus Skywards miles.
