Australia's government supports the addition of COVID-19 digital certificates to Apple Wallet via Express Plus Medicare.Tap Down Under reported that users who have had two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine or the Pfizer vaccine can now access the digital certificate via their Medicare online account.The digital certificate's front includes the user’s date of birth, document #, and the "valid starting" date. This indicates when the second dose was received. The pass's back includes the user's Healthcare Identifier and the date both doses were received.The Australian digital certificate serves as official proof that COVID-19 vaccination was administered. It can be used for domestic or international travel and is independent of any other immunizations. Similar to digital passes created by other government apps such as the UK's NHS COVID pass, this certificate can be used for travel and domestic purposes.
