Philadelphia Phillies minor leaguer Daniel Brito suffers medical emergency, postponing Triple-A game

Minor leaguer Daniel Brito of the Philadelphia Phillies was hospitalized during Saturday's match between the Rochester Red Wings (Lehigh Valley IronPigs) and required that the Triple-A doubleheader in Rochester be canceled.In the bottom of the first game of the second series, the IronPigs' third baseman started to stumble and was eventually helped by the Red Wings manager. He was also coaching in the third-base box. According to the Chronicle and Democrat, Brito was left on the field for about 20 minutes before being administered oxygen by a paramedic. Brito was eventually taken to the local hospital by an ambulance.Red Wings announced via Twitter that the Red Wings had suspended today's Red Wings doubleheader due to a medical emergency at the field in the 1st innings.Brito, a Venezuelan 23-year-old who the Phillies signed in 2015. He had just made his debut in Triple A.Rochester won the first game 3-0.
