(1:09).SAN DIEGO -- Shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr., the San Diego Padres' star shortstop, was placed on Saturday on the 10-day injures list. This came a day after he partially dislocated his left shoulder for the 3rd time this season.The Padres made the announcement prior to their game against Colorado Rockies. Right-hander Chris Paddack was also placed on the IL due to an oblique injury.Tatis, who was the National League's starting shortstop during the All-Star Game, was hurt when he fell awkwardly into third base against the Rockies. Jayce Tingler, his manager, and a trainer led him off the field in pain.Tingler stated that Tatis was "a bit more sore than some of the others we've had in past."The Padres are currently in third place in NL West, and are in control of the second wild card spot. They are keeping their fingers crossed for Tatis' return in 10 days.Tatis is the NL's top hitter with 31 home runs. Tatis is batting.292 and has 70 RBIs.
