Jay Inslee will meet with Washington state Governor Gavin Newsom on Friday to discuss wildfire preparedness and prevention as well as response efforts.Biden stated during the virtual meeting that "we can't ignore the way the overlapping, intertwined factor - extreme heat and prolonged drought - are affecting our country." Insider's Morgan McFall Johnson reported that Oregon's Bootleg fire, the largest, has doubled in size to New York City. It also started producing its own weather.We are in a long fight this year, and working together is the only way to overcome those obstacles.
