She was seen walking in front cars and some thought it was self-harm.According to reports, a Kaufman County Sheriff's deputy appeared shortly after and appears to have physically intervened. This is where the video begins -- after Nekia's relatives arrived on the scene and began recording a chaotic episode of seven minutes plus with officers.Play video content @tharealjadawada/InstagramThe clip starts with Nekia being pinned to the ground and held by Officer Conner Martin, a deputy. She screams for help and is frantically screaming.Nekia's family begs the officer and other officers who appear not too long afterwards to let her go. But the cops insist that she is cuffed to ensure she's safe. They clearly believe that she is suicidal, having said the word several times.Waiting to get your permission before loading the Facebook video.Family members disagree with the description of Nekia's actions, insisting that she was just walking along the street. However, the Kaufman County Sheriff released body cam footage which gives some context to what occurred before. Nekia appears distraught right from the beginning, but things quickly escalate with Officer Martin.They eventually lift Nekia up, and then they escort them to a cruiser police station. At this point, her mom jumps in to assist her and appears to be having a physical fight with some officers.The cops eventually restraining her and she was ultimately charged with assault of a public official, as well as other charges. According to the other daughter who uploaded this footage, Nekia was eventually taken to the hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
