Jaws Musical Bruce Set to Hit the Seattle Stage Next Year

Bruce, the new musical from Seattle Repertory Theater, is based on Carl Gottliebs memoir The Jaws Log.AdvertisementBruce is about Steven Spielberg, a 26-year-old director who decides to adapt Jaws. Deadline reports that the show features Richard Oberacker's music and Robert Taylor's lyrics.The duo is not the first to participate in a rodeo. They are also the team behind Broadway's musical Bandstand. This musical follows returning military veterans after they return from war. Donna Feore will direct and choreograph Bruce's performance. She is best known for her work at Stratford Festival.The premiere was scheduled for summer 2021. However, the pandemic forced the show to reschedule. The previews for the show will begin at Seattle Repertory Bagley Wright Theater on May 27, 2022. Opening night is set for June 1, 2022. The show will continue through June 26, 2022.
