Trump raised nearly $50 million more than next highest Republican in first half of 2021, campaign filings show

It is worth noting that Sen. Tim Scott (Republican from South Carolina) came in second among GOP politicians in online fundraising with $7.8 million. Trump also raised more money for the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee than for the Republican National Committee.Trump is still banned from social media sites, and has not made any public appearances since leaving office. However, he was a big donor when he did make an appearance before the crowds. In February, Trump gave his first speech after becoming president at the Conservative Political Action Conference. He urged his supporters in a plea to donate to him. The Times reports that his various political action committees received almost $3.5 million in donations.
