It features photos of luxury cars, private planes and designer clothes. Since June 2020, he has not posted anything.Hushpuppi tried to steal $1.1m from an individual who wanted to finance a school in Qatar.Along with two other Americans, the influencer was charged with conspiracy to commit wirefraud, conspiracy to engage money laundering and aggrieved identity theft."The defendants allegedly falsified the financing of a Qatari School by playing the role of bank officials and creating fake websites in a scheme which also bribed an official from another country to continue the elaborate pretense after the victim was tipped off," stated Acting United States Attorney Tracy L. Wilkison.She said that Abbas was a "significant role in the scheme" as he "financed his lavish lifestyle by laundering illicit proceeds generated from con artists who use increasingly sophisticated methods."Kristi K. Johnson (Assistant Director in Charge FBI Los Angeles Field Office) described Hushpuppi as "among most high-profile cash launderers in this world" and her guilty plea is "a critical blow to this international network."Insider reached Abbas but he did not respond immediately to our request for comment.Insider has the original article.
