We are sorry for calling Tony La Russa a dinosaur this year. The White Sox manager continues his innovation, even at the age 76, and coming up with better and more effective ways to show that he is an idiot.AdvertisementFriday night saw James Karinchak strike Jos Abreu with a pitch. It was an obvious accident which sent the Cleveland pitcher into a immediate concern crouch. Roberto Prez, the Cleveland catcher, immediately checked on Abreu and found him writhing at the plate.La Russa ran out of the dugout sprinting with a gait that resembled someone trying to avoid involuntarily releasing their bowels prior to going to the bathroom. It's quite understandable. It's understandable!La Russa did not just run past Abreu. He also jabbed at Prezs chest and then began having angry words with Prezs catcher. All this while Abreu was still suffering from pain on the ground.Karinchak finally went to Abreu's aid and hugged him, checking that he was alright. That was all. It is not okay for a manager of a team or individual to hand someone over, and La Russa is fortunate that Prez isn't as bad as he seems. Otherwise, the Hall of Famer might be spending Saturday at the dentist.La Russa will be spending a few days in the MLB office if there is any accountability. He was suspended for completely unacceptable conduct.
