Longyearbyen is the largest town in this Norwegian archipelago, and it is sub-zero most of the year. In July last year, temperatures rose to over 20C for several days in a month that sees only 10C. The temperature this July has been, however, slightly lower than usual.The general feeling is that things are going well.
