She also criticised the hotel's response.The Daily Beast reported that the resort later issued an apology for the "unpleasant experiences". Marriott stated that its staff had been trained in safety matters and that it encouraged all guests to be safe.ABC7 News was informed by a Marriott spokesperson that the incident had been confirmed. "The staff and food were excellent. However, I would have liked to see more options for dinner. She said that she hit the crocodile and it let go. But then it grabbed her other ankle.Natalie stated in the review, "Had my group not been sitting out on the patio next to the beach, that poor girl would've DIE."She claimed that her group pulled the girl and her friend "from the mouth of the crocodile" as it dragged her into the water.Hummel did not say whether her friend was also assaulted in her ABC7 News interview.Natalie claimed that her friends were "leading the trauma to stop bleeding with a tourniquet, and demanding an ambulance." She said that staff were slow to respond than she expected.She added, "My group is TRANSUMATIZED" by this experience.Natalie stated that signs were posted at the hotel warning about crocodiles. She said that staff were on the beach patrolling for crocodiles, but they weren't present during the attack.She said, "That crocodile will return to your beaches until he achieves his goals.
