(2:23).Sources say that Bryce Young, Alabama's quarterback, has signed deals for his name, image, and likeness worth more than $800,000.Sources told ESPN that Young was presented with, but has not accepted, deals in excess of $1million.Alabama coach Nick Saban shocked college football when he revealed to a group Texas high school coaches that Young was set for "almost seven figures".Saban, however, declined to provide details about these deals and wouldn't say with whom they were made. This led to speculation about the amount involved and the reason he decided to speak publicly about it.At Pac-12 media days this Week, David Shaw, Stanford coach, stated that Saban's mention of Young was not an accident.He said, "It was obvious to me that Nick wanted that to be planted and made sure that people knew about it." It's a great way for people to come to your place.Sources claim that Young's deal to Cash App, his only public endorsement so far, is worth six figures. Young has already produced a commercial for Cash App; it will feature NFL quarterbacks Trey Lance and Daniel Jones.Sources said that Young's deals include trading cards and memorabilia, with the majority of them being in the Leaf, Wild Card, and Onyx categories.Young is currently represented by Creative Artist Agency. He has not signed any local contracts in Tuscaloosa.He is expected sign deals that are mutually beneficial to his teammates.Young, a former five star prospect from California, was the backup to Mac Jones in his first season. Jones led Alabama to a national title and was picked by the New England Patriots in the first round.Young is expected to start. He appeared in nine games last year and completed 13 passes for 156 yards with a touchdown.The season's opening match will be against Alabama on Sept. 4, in Atlanta.
