Google interns take on 2021

I was not sure what I wanted to do when I applied for a Google internship. I knew what I wanted: A collaborative culture to work on new technology and a colorful propeller hat.I didn't know what company I should be working in and was concerned about doing an internship from home. I was eventually placed on the Global Communications and Public Affairs Team, a new specialty for me. My anxieties were disintegrated once I met the Googlers, who helped me through the internship process. I was accepted into a team that didn't expect me to know everything. They wanted to help me.My internship allowed me to ask questions and was given the tools to research what interests. Google internships reflect its commitment to continuous learning. My morning might consist of an interview with a team leader about a product launch. Then, I'll have a coffee chat to learn more about Search features and then finish the day by strategizing for this blog.My favorite part of my internship was connecting with Googlers around the globe and sharing their stories. Google's 3,500+ interns, who hail from over 400 universities around the world and are from more than 40 different countries, have collaborated on and led many meaningful projects this year. Today is International Intern Day. I spoke to a few of my interns about their work at Google and the lessons they have learned.
