Biles' move was misjudged by the untrained eye. She performed 1.5 twists instead the 2.5 she intended to, landing with a huge correction. Stills of the vault in motion demonstrate that Biles appears disoriented.After the vault, she left competition floor and then pulled out of the event. She only returned to support her team-mates from the sidelines.Biles revealed that she had experienced "having some of the twisties", which other gymnasts can relate to. The term "twisties", which is used to describe a mental block that can suddenly appear and cause a gymnast to lose their place in the air, or do an extra twist they didn't intend to, is what the term "twisties". This can lead to serious injuries and is dangerous for many reasons.
