HBO Max sheepishly nudging all 12 episodes of The Prince out the door tonight

There are two kinds of surprise drops in the world of entertainment media: The kind you do because youre so confident in the immediate, lightning-in-a-bottle impact of a piece of art that youre confident it can seize the entire zeitgeist in one bold, Beyonc-inspired move. The other type, which you have already invested a lot of money and time on, is where the stink can spread faster than you want. It is usually easy to tell the difference between these two motivations for suddenly launching projects at the collective attention. But! HBO Max has revealed a surprise release strategy to its animated series The Prince. This cartoon tries to transform Gary Janetti's long-running, foul-mouthed Instagram satire about 8-year old Prince George Of Cambridge into a Family Guy-focused spin. HBO Max decided to release the entire 12-episode season at midnight PT to fans of its political satire (as seen in the trailer). This will give us plenty of time to RSVP to our The Prince viewing parties.AdvertisementJanetti stars in The Prince. Janetti has been portraying a snarky and sarcastic version for years on social media. Plus, what we'd call an HBO Max-appropriate level of celebrities rounding out the royal family include Condola Rashad, Dan Stevens, Dan Stevens, Condola Rashad, Condola Rashad, Condola Rashad, Condola Rashad, Iwan Rheon and Dan Stevens. The series' press release also mentions that it has six guest stars, including members of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. However, the trailer dispels any worries that animation may have prevented the show from commenting about Prince Harry/Meghan markle. You can rest assured, viewers, that Orlando Bloom will make Prince Harry jokes at a level that only his comic voice acting abilities will permit.
