Netflix will mandate COVID-19 vaccinations on productions in the US

Netflix will require that all cast members and crew working on productions in the US be vaccinated against COVID-19. This is a precautionary measure as the Delta variant continues its spread throughout the country.Deadline reported that streaming giant Netflix recently informed its production teams that they would require all cast and crew members working in the US's Zone A to get vaccinated. Deadline stated that this includes both cast members and people who have close contact with them. The report states that Netflix intends to make few exceptions from the new vaccination policy. These exclusions include religious, medical and age reasons.Netflix confirmed the measure to The Verge, but declined to comment further.Facebook and Google have taken similar measures for employees returning to work. President Joe Biden will likely announce that federal employees will be required to get vaccinated and consent to regular testing. Apple is said to be putting off a mandatory return-to-work policy. Apple will require masks for employees and customers in its retail stores, regardless of vaccination status.The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released new guidelines this week for people who have been vaccinated.
