Crystal adds Miami as embarkation port on cruises departing the Bahamas

Crystal Serenity will make Miami an additional port of call and embarkation point for its Bahamas cruises. This is in response to customer demand.On Aug. 9, the ship will arrive in Miami, where passengers can board and explore the city. Crystal explained to travel advisors that the ship's arrival in Miami was due to a shortage of airlift to the Bahamas.Crystal president Jack Anderson said, "By including Port of Miami we are giving travelers another convenient option to join these Bahamas cruises that offer vacation escapes both near home and afar with incredible outdoor options such as snorkeling and diving, eco-tours, deep-sea fisheries, and just relaxing on some of our most beautiful beaches."Similar story: Cancellation of Crystal Symphony cruises departing from Caribbean portsThree ports of embarkation will be available for the seven-day roundtrip Luxury Bahamas Escapes that operate until November 15th: Bimini on Sundays, Miami on Mondays, and Nassau on Saturdays. Crystal has also added a 4-day Luxury Bahama Getaway sailing from Miami on Nov. 15, which will visit San Salvador, Exuma, and spend one day at sea.Crystal has amended its mandate for adult vaccination to comply with Florida law prohibiting proof of vaccination. For passengers arriving in Miami, the line recommends, but not requires, vaccination.Unvaccinated guests are subject to capacity control and must be approved after a waitlist. They must show proof of valid travel insurance. Guests who are not vaccinated will have to follow specific protocols and undergo further testing. There will also be restrictions on the cruise such as the wearing of masks in public places, no access to certain public areas, such as the Crystal Life Spa, Crystal Life Fitness, specialty restaurants, lounges, nightclubs, or nightclubs, as well as the need to wear masks when eating or drinking.Unvaccinated guests will be identified with a red bracelet, while those who have been vaccinated will be wearing green bracelets. Unvaccinated guests may not be allowed to visit certain ports or attend certain events onboard, such as the Crystal Society party. The area where the dining room will be located is socially distant.
