Jaxson Hayes, the New Orleans Pelicans' center -- the #8 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft -- was taken into police custody after an alleged violent altercation. TMZ Sports learned that the incident escalated to the point where a hooper and a cop were both taken to a hospital.According to reports, law enforcement officers were called to an LA home to investigate a domestic disturbance on Wednesday morning. However, when they tried to verify the parties involved, Hayes (21 years old) refused to let them enter the property.Sources say that Hayes is 6'11" and 220 lb. Hayes became combative with police and a fight broke out... with the ex Texas Longhorns star being tased in middle of the scuffle.Police responded to a radio call from an "officer in need of help" regarding the brawl.Hayes was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. A second officer involved in the fight sought treatment. Their condition is not known.Hayes will be charged with felony battery against a police officer. Although police are still investigating the initial domestic incident, both parties have not cooperated.
