Metal Church's Mike Howe's Death Not Believed to be Booze, Drug Related

According to police, Mike Howe's sudden death from Metal Church was not caused by drugs or alcohol.The Humboldt County Sheriff's Dept spokesperson. According to TMZ, police received a call Monday morning at 10:10 AM from Eureka CA regarding an untimely death at a residence. According to deputies, Mike was found dead on the spot when they arrived.Cops claim that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the death. Paraphernalia and controlled substances were not found at the scene. The cause of death was not known at the time this post was written.Shortly after Mike's death, the band posted a Facebook statement saying, "It is our deepest regrets to announce that our brother, our friend, and true legend in heavy metal music, has died."The statement continued: "We are devastated, and at a loss of words." During this difficult time, please respect our privacy as well as the privacy of the Howe family.Metal Church, widely credited with instilling thrash metal, was founded in 1980s. It released two albums before Mike joined. He would eventually help produce the band's third album, "Blessing in Disguise," and it was the one that produced "Badlands", which is still a huge hit.They would release two more studio albums, before the group broke up in mid-1990s. Mike joined the band in 2015, and they eventually reunited.Mike was 55.
