Ghostbusters: Afterlife has a new trailer that gives more information about the setting and plot than any other trailer we have seen. And it looks great. It's refreshing to finally see the movie after a year of weird Americana trailers that were more like Ghostbusters than Man of Steel. This trailer has ghosts, despite the fact that early trailers featured epic music and vast vistas. And Annie Potts! Dan Aykroyd is the voice! This trailer is the first to make the movie feel more like a sequel than a mopey, kid-focused reboot.Importantly, this trailer is about a movie about the busting ghosts. It features Ray Stantz and Janine Melnitz as welcome cameos. Ghosts are seen getting coffee, ghosts running from the Ectomobile, marshmallow ghosts, and an entire river flowing under Byzantium ruins. This is a reference to the most significant set piece in the original film.Comedy is not my thing, but this movie looks very serious. I will take humor from some ghost stories and legends. This trailer is full of it.Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be released in theaters on November 11, 2021.
