Lucifer's Joe Henderson is making a live-action Pok'mon show

After six seasons of Lucifer, Joe Henderson, executive producer and co-showrunner, is leaving. Variety reports that Henderson will write and executive produce a new live action Pokmon series for Netflix. Sources say that Henderson is similar to Detective Pikachu, starring Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith, and it will feature live-action characters opposite CG monsters. Even though big Pikachu suits are one of the most entertaining things our species has done, that would be even more fun.AdvertisementOther details are not available, so we don't know if it is based on Pokmon games, set in traditional Pokmon settings, or about any of the familiar Pokmon characters. We don't know if there will be classic Pokmon monsters. But there has to be a Pikachu. Perhaps a Squirtle. Perhaps a cool Squirtle wearing sunglasses? Henderson could use his Lucifer experience to make a show about evil guys like Team Rocket. They are a gang of corporate terrorists/animal trafkers who are so bad at their jobs it would be quite endearing if they were not also mean to children. You could also talk about the existence of a society of identical female nurses and a separate society that is made up of police officers. It would be a simple adventure story about a child capturing a monster and traveling the globe to find other monsters. However, it would be very entertaining and cost-effective in live action (unless Netflix cuts down on CG costs by replacing all the monsters with people in big suits).
