Britney Spears Officially Asked For Her Dad To Be Removed From The Conservatorship

A judge accepted the resignation from a wealth management company that was hired to manage Britney's finances. This leaves her father the sole person responsible for her estate.On Monday, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny granted Bessemer Trust's request for permission to withdraw its role as coconservator of Spears’ finances. Due to the 39-year old's explosive remarks about the court-mandated arrangement, which has given her father and other family members control over her life for 13 years, the company requested that she step down earlier in the month.The firm filed a July 1 filing. Attorneys for the firm stated that Petitioner had heard from the Conservatee, and she respects her wishes.Bessemer Trust, which is a private company that manages more assets than $100 billion, was appointed to manage Spears’ estate in November 2020. However, the court only filed the paperwork late last month to make it official. According to court documents, the company did not receive any assets or take any fees before it resigned.Monday's order leaves Jamie Spears, the father of the singer, as the sole financial controller. Mathew Rosengart is Britney's new attorney and has stated that he is trying to remove her father, Jamie Spears, from the conservatorship she has called "abusive."BuzzFeed News reached Rosengart Monday for comment but he did not respond immediately.Spears made a series of recent statements to court accusing her father and the power that he has had to "ruin[her] life."She said that she was here to get rid my father and accuse him of conservatorship abuse.
