The new surgical tool inspired by a wasp

The Netherlands has used the method of parasitoid wasps to create a new tool for keyhole surgical procedures. Because they use suction, the tools currently used in these procedures can clog easily. This is avoided by the new device which uses friction.Delft University of Technology's team has a working prototype.
