Norway's Kristian Blummenfelt wins gold medal in men's triathlon

Kristian Blummenfelt, Norway, won the men's triathlon with a time of 1 hour 45 minutes and 4 seconds. This is 11 seconds faster than Alex Yee, Britain.Hayden Wilde, New Zealand's third-ranked entrant, was also there.Blummenfelt was the first Norwegian triathlete to win a medal. Triathlon combines running, swimming and cycling. He was 13th at the Rio Games 2016.Blummenfelt finished fifth after the 1,500-meter swim leg and the 40-kilometer cycling leg of the race, before he surged to victory in the final stage.Jonathan Brownlee from Britain, who won silver at Rio and bronze in London 2012, came in sixth place.
