The last weeks teaser provided a glimpse of what we can expect from Chucky, Syfy, and USAs new series continuation of the Childs Play horror series by Don Mancini. In other words, the recent remake is not canon. Today, at San Diego Comic-Con @Home, the trailer for the wicked killer doll and the hilarious mayhem he creates was unveiled. It's here!The teaser revealed that the main character of the series is a gay teenager who makes found-art sculptures from doll parts to cope with his mother's death. Bullies, beware! I ts the W old S eries for slaughter!AdvertisementChucky hosted a panel instead of hosting the series' traditional panel. Instead, he dropped a featurette called The Legacy of Chucky. It featured Mancini, franchise veterans Jennifer Tilly and Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent and Christine Eliseplus Brad Dourif, the voice of Chucky. This was in honor of the franchises 30-plus-year history. The new series will feature all of these actors, except Dourif. However, they don't have any prominent roles in the trailer. People who grew-up with Chucky will be excited to learn more about the characters in the show. People have been waiting for the dark and gruesome deaths. This show has them covered. For new fans, it's a bit more detailed in explaining why he is who he is. This is really displayed in a very creative way. It's still dark, but we see Chucky in a new light. We also get to see what he gets from interacting with people.Chucky's cast also includes Devon Sawa (Final Destination: Casper), Lexa Dong (Arrow Stargate: SG1) and Zackary Arthur.
