Rider, 14, dies in crash during motorcycle race in Spain, organizers say

MADRID -- Organisers said that a 14-year-old Spanish rider was killed after being hit by another rider during a race on Sunday in Spain.Hugo Milln was crushed after he fell in the middle of track during the second lap of European Talent Cup race at MotorLand Circuit.Milln tried to move out of the way of some riders, but a few were able to dodge him. However organizers stated that Oleg Pawelec was the No. 5 bike hit him straight on.Milln, who started in second position, remained motionless on the ground while other riders passed. Milln, who had just managed to avoid falling a few turns before, lost control and fell while in second place.Pawelec was not severely injured and left the track by himself.Milln was seen by several doctors before being transferred to the hospital at the track. Later, he was flown by helicopter to another hospital.FIM CEV Repsol tweeted that Hugo Milln had died from injuries sustained in a crash during the HETC race.Marc Mrquez, six-time MotoGP champion, was one of the top riders to react to Milln's passing.On Twitter, Mrquez wrote "RIP Hugo Milln." "My deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and team."
