It is supposed to be as close to Earth as possible at 2.8 million miles. It's called an Apolo in NASA-ese, which is a "near Earth" designation.For context, Mars is 236.5 million kilometers away from Earth. The Moon is 238,855 km away. The middle is somewhere.It won't be the closest encounter we have with G020. It was 1,000,000 miles away from Earth in 1901.
