Aukey and Mpow were among the first to be harmed when Amazon began cracking down mobile electronics companies that had shady reviewer programmes. Yet, The Verge discovered that Aukey still sells at least three sets wireless earbuds on the massive online retailer. Two weeks ago, Amazon PR pointed out that Aukey and Mpow had apparently found a way to circumvent their bans. Mpow sold an xMpow MFly pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones. Aukey was selling many different sets under its Key Series subbrand.Since then, I have been looking at their product pages and noticed today that the xMpow MFly had disappeared. Key Series, however, is still alive and well with three products. As you can see, Aukey seems to have paid Amazon more to promote them in Search. These are Aukey products, it's obvious. Above, you can see the Aukey brand printed in the charging case for the EP-N7 headphones. Aukey announced the brand in May 2019 with an official press release. At least two Key Series products (including these wireless earbuds T-10) have YouTube videos on Aukey's channel.Although it is possible that Key Series was spun-off, or that these Amazon listings were managed by a reseller. Although the Key Series website does not contain any official references to Aukey's name, it does mention Primtech Limited which is based in the UK.It appears that Key Series also had other products on Amazon. Like other companies in electronics that were removed from Amazon, there are a few blank spots on the Amazon sellers page.Related: I am still collecting photos from Amazon of your inserts, regardless of whether they are suspicious. I'll use them for a future story. Send me photos of your pets if you haven't already at sean@theverge.com
