Patrick Mahomes to Host USA Football Coaching Clinics; Gives Grants to Youth Leagues

AP Photo/Charlie RiedelAccording to the Associated Press, Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, will host three coaching clinics for Missouri in a partnership with USA Football.Mahomes stated that smart coaching can have a long-lasting and positive effect on children and their sport development. USA Football is a great partner for me to support healthy football practices among youth coaches in the KC region.Mahomes also announced that 15 youth leagues in Kansas City will receive $2,000 operating grants.Scott Hallenbeck, chief executive of USA Football, stated that Patrick's dedication to children through the Mahomies Foundation and his 15 is extraordinary and rare. "We appreciate Patrick's friendship, love of the game and his ability to provide best-in-class coaching training and grants to support youth football programs in Greater Kansas City.Mahomes rose to stardom with the Chiefs winning an MVP award, Super Bowl LIV and breaking most franchise passing records in his three seasons as a starter. Kansas City reached the AFC Championship Game each of Mahomes' last three seasons, and the Super Bowl the last two.Mahomes signed a $450m contract with the Chiefs that kept him there through 2031. He and Brittany have been active members in the Kansas City community.The couple donated $100,000 to Kansas City Public Schools lunch programs in 2020 through the 15 and Mahomies Foundations. They also supported organizations that provide food and household goods for families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
