Since I was a child, I have been dreaming about this day for years. I am eternally grateful to my family, friends, and team for making this possible. Tokyo is our destination! Jessica shared the news in an Instagram post. It was an honor to be part of this team with Ward, Farrington, Raut. This is the only horse I'd choose to go on, and it's a wonderful journey. You are my horse for life. Let's go USA!
Jessica Springsteen is the second-oldest Springsteen child. She began riding horses when she was four years old at the Springsteen family farm, Colt s Neck in New Jersey. She is currently ranked No. 27 in the U.S. as one of the top riders. 27 around the globe.
When I was very young, I began riding. My mom wanted to ride, so she began lessons when she moved to New Jersey. Our house is directly across the street from a top junior training barn. I rode right into it when I was a teenager.
Jessica will be competing in her first Olympics. She was an alternate at London's Olympic Games in 2012 and did not make it to Rio Olympics. Ward, her teammate, is a three time Olympic winner. The Tokyo Games marks Ward's fifth appearance at the games. Each Kraut or Farrington have one medal.
Tokyo Games open on July 23rd, with show jumping on August 6th and 8th.
