Cowboys Players Who Can Climb Depth Chart with Impressive Camp

1 of 3Michael Ainsworth/Associated PressThe Dallas Cowboys selected Micah Parson, a Penn State linebacker, as their first round pick. It wouldn't surprise us if Parsons was offered a starting position immediately. Although it might seem a bit surprising that fourth-round rookie Jabril Cox is given a prominent role, it could happen. The Cowboys are blessed with a lot of linebacker talent, including Jaylon Smith, Leighton VanderEsch, and Parsons. Cox's coverage skills mean that he can be in the rotation. Cox, who is 6'3" tall and weighs in at 232 pounds, should be considered a valuable rotational piece.Justis Mosqueda, from the B/R Scouting Department, wrote that if his play strength improves and he is more spontaneous early in the down he could be an all-down starter in league. "If it doesn't, he might be limited to passing downs in the coverage linebacker role taking tight end and running back matchesups."John Owning, Dallas Morning News, believes that Cox's reporting skills will make him a starter in the next few seasons. Although we might not see it happen this year, Cox will be able to play in camp and during preseason.Cox should be able to prove his coverage skills in the NFL. Matching up with Dalton Schultz and Ezekiel Elliott will be a tough test.
