His best figures at Old Trafford were, fittingly enough,He beat his Manchester record of 6-49 against Worcestershire, 2004.Danny Lamb took the first five wickets that fell, but he lost his chance of winning all 10. He was beaten by Joe Denly, an England batsman.To get to 3-16, Lamb needed two more, but Anderson's high standards mean that this was his best day.Play did not begin after day one's loss. It was only after noon, at 14:00 BST, that play resumed.Anderson made his County Championship debut this summer and quickly recovered with a combination good line, good length seam movement, and a little swing.After a 10-over spell, England's top Test wicket-taker was eventually removed.
