AeroMexico's Incorrect Preflight Email About Test Requirements

(Read more here).Last Tuesday was the flight that brought me back to Europe. AeroMexico sent me several emails reminding about the test requirements for my flight from Mexico to the Netherlands. These emails were extremely misleading.AeroMexicos has a page that will help you find the right destination.AeroMexicos emailI was informed by email that I would need to submit a negative PCR/RT test in order to board the flight to Holland. I also would need to provide a positive antigen test that was not more than four hours prior to departure.They are both incorrect in the situation that I am an EU citizen and only transiting through the Netherlands. No tests are required for this case (requirements here).Transit/transfer to the Netherlands If your journey begins in a high-risk country or area, and you change planes in the Netherlands, it is not necessary to present a negative NAAT or PCR test result upon arrival.To show a negative NAAT or PCR test result, or a rapid test result upon arrival in the Netherlands. Transfer is when you switch planes and travel within a few hours or within one day, without having to leave the airport where you transferred.The Netherlands required a negative PCR/RT test for several month, even for transits. However, this requirement was lifted on June 1st.The Netherlands has dropped the negative PCR-RT test requirement for transit passengers effective today (June 1, 2021).AeroMexicos view required me to meet the following requirements: one to Greece, where my ticket ended with Aegean and one to Spain.Spain required a NAAT (antigen test) performed within 48 hours of arrival. The only option was to have an antigen test or a more costly PCR-RT.ConclusionAeroMexico's email to its partners containing advertising tests, from which it surely gets cash, is highly objectionable.It would seem reasonable to assume that an airline would do this.Although there were no problems checking in, this shows that you should be aware of entry requirements and not just believe the emails the airline sends.
