GETTR, a Twitter-like social networking site, was briefly hacked on Sunday's official launch. Jason Miller, an advisor to Trump and ex-spokesman for the company, was hacked into several verified accounts. They were altered to show that @JubaBaghdad had arrived :) free palestine. Accounts hacked by Harlan Hill, Sean Parnell, Mike Pompeo, Steve Bannon and Marjorie Taylor-Greene were all included. Hacking also occurred on Newsmax, a pro-Trump network, and GETTRs official support site.AdvertisementMiller reduced the problem. Miller stated in an email that the problem was quickly identified and closed. The intruder could only change a few user name. The hacker claimed that he did it for fun, and said it was easy. He said that they should not publish the website until they have made sure that everything (or at least nearly everything) is secure. Many others have already raised concerns about security and privacy issues with the platform. The social media platform was quietly launched in June. However, Politico published a piece about its ties with Miller. The site has seen a flood of pornographic images since then. Mother Jones, a Thursday blogger, wrote that the site's opening message was full of things such as anime porn and multiple copies of an image showing Hillary Clinton's head photoshopped onto another woman's body. The app is available in Apple and Google's app stores. It describes itself as a new social media platform that promotes free speech and independent thought.
