Crystal Cruises has resumed operations on ocean cruises with Crystal Serenity sailing around The Bahamas from Nassau.After a year of planning, the ship will be running seven-day cruises around islands until November.Crystals' flagship was the first to be boarded by passengers since spring 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic halted the cruise industry.The Bahamas cruises were in record demand in March. This was the largest single day of bookings ever made by the company in its history, and it happened within 24 hours of their opening.Crystal Serenity will be homeport in Nassau from November 13 through November 13. She will depart every Saturday to the Out Islands, making stops in Great Exuma and San Salvador.Crystal has partnered up with over 30 Bahamian companies to offer small-group experiences for passengers who have to be vaccinated.Because of the mandatory vaccination requirement, passengers will be able explore independently onshore.Carmen Roig, senior vice president for marketing and sales, said that this is a historic time for Crystal and our employees.
