Golf Pro Gene Siller Dies at Age 41 After Shooting on Georgia Course

The Georgia State Golf Association tweeted that their thoughts and prayers were with Gene Siller's family and friends.Shenise Barner, a Cobb County police spokesperson, told Shadi Abusaid of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution officers are still in the "preliminary stages of the investigation." The suspect has not been identified or apprehended.According to the Journal-Constitution it appears that the unidentified male drove his truck into hole No. 18, and got stuck. Siller was then shot and killed as he went to investigate."Tragedy struck the Georgia Section PGA with the tragic loss of our Member Gene Siller. Prayers and thoughts for Gene Siller's family and Pinetree Country Club members," the Georgia PGA tweeted.His wife and his two children are still with him.
