AP Photo/Ashley LandisShohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Angels' star, added another amazing feat to his 2021 season. The 26-year-old was both a position player, and a pitcher when he earned his first All-Star nomination. In league history, no player was an All-Star in both position players and pitchers.Ohtani was leading MLB in home runs (30), and slugging percentage (.700) as of Sunday. His batting average was.278 and his on-base percentage was.367. He also scored his 31st run against the Baltimore Orioles. The right-hander is now 3-1 with a 3.60 ERA, and 83 strikeouts over 60 innings in 12 starts.Another reminder that Ohtani's season is not overrated was the All-Star roster announcement. He'll likely not be able to replicate what he's doing now for the foreseeable future.
