ClubCelebrating America can be uncomfortable and strange, especially after a horrible pandemic and attempted insurrection. It is okay to support America when we take down our enemies across the Atlantic. We are referring to King George, the evil tyrant (currently a baby), and his so-called Great Britain. They are hateful! They made us work too hard and forced us into quartering their soldiers in our poor cabins. It's worth celebrating when we can win over tea-drinkers. In America, coffee is made from beans and tastes terrible! That's exactly what is happening today on America's birthday. Although the news was only announced a few days ago it is still America's birthday weekend.AdvertisementDeadline has the news that Downton Abbey 2, which is a film about British people doing fancy British stuff, has been moved from 2021 to March 18, 20,22. Although the movie was made at lightning speed over the past two years, star Hugh Bonneville held it back as an "only if everyone gets their vaccination!" treat. It was originally scheduled for December 22, 2021.Focus Features and Universal Pictures have decided to bump the release date to March in an effort to honor America. Bonneville had said that the movie would not be released until enough people have been vaccinated. So maybe this is more a criticism of the vaccine rollout rather than a tribute to the United States. Maybe it's just a marketing decision. Downton Abbey 2 does not seem like a movie that should be delayed. It isn't competing for the same audience, as Dune. But who knows? It's America Day, the British movie got delayed, so we are just trying to make the most of what little information is available this weekend.
