A SpaceX Cargo Dragon capsule carrying 5,000 pounds worth of scientific research and other cargo will leave the International Space Station (ISS) on Tuesday. This includes the results from scientific experiments that were conducted in space's microgravity environment. These will be returned to scientists for analysis.NASA will livestream the Cargo Dragon's departure from the ISS, so you can follow it as it departs and returns to Earth. What can you expect from the Cargo Dragon UndockingThe Cargo Dragon launched on June 3, and reached the ISS on June 5. It carried cargo, including new roll-out solar arrays to upgrade the station's power system, and other research projects such as tiny tardigrades or bobtail squid. All of the cargo is now unloaded and the results from completed experiments are being loaded in their place.NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough will supervise the undocking the Cargo Dragon from its space-facing port on Harmony module. The thrusters will be fired to allow the craft to move away and into position, before it begins its deorbit burn toward Earth. How to see the Cargo Dragon departNASA will livestream the departure of Cargo Dragon. NASA will livestream the Cargo Dragon's departure. You can either watch the embedded video at the top of the page or go to NASAs website. The coverage of the departure starts at 10:45 AM.
