Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying your Fourth of July Weekend. When I was looking at my latest statement from US Bank Cash Plus Credit Card, I noticed this important announcement about foreign transaction fees. You won't find any information in the statement about the changes, so make sure to read the insert included with your paper statement. Or download the digital insert online.
According to the digital insert, the foreign transaction fees will go into effect on October 1, 2021.
Dollars 3% of every foreign ATM advance transaction or purchase transaction in the U.S. Dollars
Foreign Currency: 3% of every foreign purchase transaction, foreign ATM advance transaction.
The back of the digital insert states that you can refuse the change by contacting US Bank. However, US Bank will close your Cash Plus Credit Card.
The current terms of the Cash Plus Credit Card are as follows: 2% for each foreign purchase transaction and foreign ATM advance transaction in U.S. dollars.
The Cash Plus Credit Card is not recommended for international use or purchases on international websites. Use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees if you intend to make international purchases. Please leave a comment below if you have any questions regarding this change. Everyone, have a wonderful Fourth of July!
