On Sunday's edition, ABC News' Martha Raddatz spoke with Jeff Zients, White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator. He discussed the fact that the White House failed to reach its goal of vaccinations for 70% of U.S. adults before July 4.He said that younger people, especially those in their 20s have felt less susceptible to the disease and thus less willing to get shots. However, he noted that this age group was later made eligible so "we continue seeing hundreds of thousands of young people vaccinated every week."Zients pointed out that nearly 90% of Americans 65 years and older have had at least one dose. This is the age group most at risk of serious COVID-19-related deaths and severe COVID-19-related cases. He said, "We have much to celebrate." "We are far further ahead than anyone expected in the fight against the pandemic."You might also likeAccording to reports, the Jan. 6 select committee of Republicans will try to put Nancy Pelosi's blame for the Capitol riotRescue cat makes it to New Hampshire's top 48 highest mountainsAnti-woke zealots want to purge the military politically
