As you can probably see, his hard-living was a significant part of his life.George's death certificate lists that George died from hepatorenal failure caused by alcoholic cirrhosis. His chronic alcohol abuse caused his organs to fail. Natural causes are listed as the cause of his death.George passed away on May 5, in Lowell, MA. He was cremated two days later. His occupation was listed as storyteller/teacher/education.
