Games Done Quicks summer speedrunning event, which runs for charity, begins Sunday. There are a lot of great runs to look forward too. Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ), Online 2021, will kick off at 12 PM ET on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel.The full schedule can be viewed here. It is packed with interesting-looking runs. There are many things I would like to see, but the Super Mario 64 blindfolded 70-star Super Mario 64 run on Saturday is what I am most interested in.SGDQ and Awesome Games Done Quick are my two favorite weeks of the calendar. It is amazing to see players take down some of my favourite games. Or perform superhuman feats like beating Celeste's hardest levels with a dance pad.The marathon is a continuous hour long, so I enjoy checking the stream at random times throughout the day to see what's happening. I will often be introduced to a new game, which is great fun.SGDQ Online 2021, as the name suggests, will be entirely online. This was also the case last years. Doctors Without Borders will be the beneficiary of donations. In 2020, SGDQ raised over $2.3 million.
