Man found shot Saturday night in Kansas City parking lot has died, police say

Police in Kansas City are investigating after a man was shot to death late Saturday night.Officers responded to a shooting at East 40th Street, Willow Avenue just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, Capt. Leslie Foreman, the Kansas City Police Department's spokeswoman, stated in an email.Foreman stated that police arrived in the area and found a man with gunshot wounds in a parking lot. The man was declared dead on the spot.Foreman stated that witnesses claimed they heard shots and an argument.Name and age of the victims have not been released. Police said that no suspect information was available on the spot.According to The Star's data, this killing marks the city's 77th homicide of the year.
