McGregor, however, was not having it and told Poirier during an Instagram Live Q&A that McGregor's words would come back to haunt him on July 10.McGregor stated that he has been talking a lot lately (h/t MMA Junkies Mike Bohn). That's certain. This is not going to be pleasant.Poirier performed a lot of leg kicks to hobble McGregor last January. He also set up a knockout along McGregor's fencing line in the second round. This is mixed martial art. All of it. It makes me feel insecure.McGregor will need a win next week to get his career back on track. McGregor, a former UFC champion, is currently 3-3 in six fights after losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov (and Nate Diaz) and Poirier.
