The Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks will battle it out for the Eastern Conference representative in this year's NBA Finals. However, Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul said that the extra days before his first Finals appearance in 16 years have been beneficial.Paul disclosed that he had partially torn ligaments in one of his hands during the series' finals against the LA Clippers on Wednesday, after the Suns' win in Game 6.When asked how he managed to overcome the injury to his shooting hand on Saturday, the 36-year old point guard laughed it off.He said, "I managed it well. Good."He could have used a stronger superlative for his performance in the final game. He scored 41 points and shot 16-for-24 from behind the arc. Paul scored 30 points in the second period when the Suns pulled away for their first Finals berth since 1988.Paul was grateful for some rest after he had to deal with nerve issues in his shoulder against the Los Angeles Lakers in round one. He also contracted COVID-19 in round two.Paul stated, "Each day we've had off was really good and we all get the chance to rest up before we get going again."If the Bucks win Game 6, Game 1 of the Finals is Tuesday, or Thursday if an Eastern Conference finals game goes to a Game 7.
